bankESB Donates School Supplies to 40 Student Residents of Valley Community Development

bankESB recently hosted a backpack drive in its King Street, Northampton and Triangle Street, Amherst branches, to support student residents of Valley Community Development. Customers and members of our community donated school supplies, and the bank outfitted 40 backpacks filled with essentials for a successful school year. The yearly expense of a new backpack can be a financial burden on families, so this contribution will help give these children the tools they need to focus on their education and unlocking their potential.

 Since 1988, Valley CDC has worked on addressing the needs of our community through economic and housing development, and seeks to empower people with low and moderate incomes and underserved populations throughout Hampshire and Franklin counties.

This donation was made as part of the bank’s charitable giving program, The Giving Tree, which reflects the roots the bank has in its communities, and its commitment to making a real difference in the neighborhoods it serves.
